Cookie Policy
What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They serve various purposes, from remembering your preferences to enabling essential functionality.
Cookies We Use
BeaverCheck uses only strictly necessary cookies that are essential for the Service to function. We do not use any cookies for analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
bc_csrf |
Protects against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. Generated on form pages and validated on submission. | Strictly necessary | Session (deleted when you close your browser) |
Why No Consent Banner?
Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) and GDPR (Recital 32), consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary for the service the user has requested. Since BeaverCheck only uses a CSRF protection cookie — essential for the Service to function securely — no consent is required.
We believe in transparency without unnecessary friction. Rather than showing a consent banner for cookies that do not need consent, we provide this clear explanation of exactly what we use and why.
Third-Party Cookies
BeaverCheck does not set or allow any third-party cookies. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, social media widgets, or any other service that would set cookies on your device.
How to Manage Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent BeaverCheck from functioning correctly (form submissions will fail without the CSRF cookie).
Changes to This Policy
If we add any new cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms as required by law.
