Website Technology Comparisons — Real Performance Data

Side-by-side performance, security, accessibility, and SEO scores for 500+ web technologies — sourced from actual audits of sites running each stack, not vendor marketing claims.

How BeaverCheck comparisons work

Every comparison on this page is built from the same 100+ check audit BeaverCheck runs on any URL. When you open a vs page — say adobe-analytics-vs-hubspot — we aggregate scores across every site in our database that ships that technology, then surface the medians side by side. No vendor press releases, no cherry-picked benchmarks, no affiliate links. If Google Lighthouse scores 60 sites running Alpine.js at a median of 94 and 40 sites running Svelte at 96, the comparison shows 94 vs 96, and you can click through to any of the underlying audits to verify.

Real audit data

Every number comes from a real Lighthouse + HTTP + security scan of a live site, not a synthetic benchmark. Medians across a pool of sites — not one cherry-picked demo.

Eight axes of comparison

Performance, security, accessibility, SEO, infrastructure, technology footprint, compliance, and availability — not just page speed. The full audit matrix, side by side.

Shareable URLs

Every comparison has its own permanent link. Paste it into a Slack thread, an RFC doc, or a client report — no account required to view.

Data refreshes as new audits are submitted. Comparisons with fewer than 3 audits per side show a sample-size warning — treat early numbers as directional, not definitive.

Frequently asked questions

What metrics are actually compared?

Eight dimensions pulled from the BeaverCheck audit: Lighthouse performance score, Core Web Vitals (LCP / INP / CLS), security headers grade, SSL/TLS configuration, WCAG accessibility score, SEO signals (title, meta, schema, internal linking), technology footprint (bundle size, third-party scripts, framework overhead), and infrastructure (DNS, CDN, redirect chain). Each axis is a median across all audited sites running the technology.

How often is the data refreshed?

Continuously. Every time someone submits a URL to BeaverCheck, the audit feeds into the technology aggregates within minutes. High-traffic technologies (WordPress, React, Cloudflare) update dozens of times per day; rarer ones update whenever a new audit lands.

Can I trust comparisons with small sample sizes?

Treat any comparison where either side has fewer than 10 audited sites as directional only. Medians stabilize around 20–30 audits per side. Comparisons under that threshold show a sample-size badge so you know to check the underlying audits before drawing conclusions.

My technology isn't listed — how do I add it?

Submit any URL that uses the technology to the homepage scanner. Our tech detection engine identifies 7,500+ technologies automatically from headers, meta tags, JavaScript globals, and DOM patterns. If the tech isn't recognized, it's missing from our detection patterns — open an issue and we'll add it.

Does BeaverCheck take money from vendors?

No. No sponsored placements, no affiliate links, no pay-to-appear. BeaverCheck is free to use and doesn't accept money from any of the technologies shown. The comparisons are ranked purely by the audit data.
